TEXTILES

Weaving by hand is all about the passage of time. It takes hours to design a project and dress a loom, and many more hours building the cloth with row upon row of yarn. Winter Rye textiles are made of natural fibers-wool, cotton, and bamboo-and are made to last, softening and getting better with age.

CERAMICS

A potter’s greatest pleasure, after working at the wheel, is knowing that someone will enjoy the results. Winter Rye ceramics are made with the user in mind. Porcelain clay, with its beautiful white surface, is the canvas upon which rich glazes are applied. Fired at extremely high temperatures, porcelain clay is lightweight, yet remarkably strong, hard, and durable.
